Gem Reliquary

This reliquary holds the tiniest image from the Homosocial collection- a tintype from the late 19th century. Barely an inch high, the tintype is nestled within gradually enlargening Gothic windows. The large nature of the reliquary, however, doesn't overcome the intense intimacy depicted between these two women.
